MTSS Monday: Let’s Finish Strong

How we finish matters as much as how we start. 

As we head into the final weeks of school, it is easy to feel exhausted. That is when our system really matters. Every decision, support, and word of encouragement counts toward ensuring students and staff finish year being valued, supported, and successful. 

A few ways MTSS Teams finish strong: 

1. Maintain the MTSS teaming structure - together we are stronger. 

2. Communicate regularly with students, staff, families, caregivers and community partners 

3. Prioritize Tier 1 routines and expectations.

4. Keep expectations consistent to the very last day

5. Review and respond to data 

6. Plan transition supports

7. Reflect on what worked well and identify lessons learned for next year.

8. Celebrate big and small wins

9. Make adjustments as needed

10. Share our expertise. What’s one strategy or reflection that helps your team finish the year strong? 

A strong system finishes strong and sets the tone for future success!
